Except Simmons aint really do shyt.Y'all hate is hilarious sometimes. You think HBO gave him that show without understanding what was going on? They knew he's a dork with a nasally voice. They ain't dumb. Giving him that show was a way to sweeten the deal, but mainly they were after his content ideas (30 for 30 is his invention and that's the best shyt from ESPN in years) and his audience. They also invested in his website and podcast network outside of the show and if you're being honest you'd admit the podcast network been popping.
Connor Schell and John Dahl were the ones who won Peabody Awards for the series.
Any jagaloon can think "we should do this series". That's not genius or noteworthy. Actually having the skill to create the project and bring it to fruition...that's what Schell and Dahl did.
I refuse to give this Simmons clown any credit for anything except taking his sports and movie diatribes that he likely had at the end of some Boston dive bar and putting them on an ESPN blog.
