Iverson shot 34% in that series against the Bucks while Allen shot 47%/50% and you think AI was the sole reason Philly won. :dead:

Dude shot below 39% in the playoffs that year and dudes swear he ran through the East like Kawhi did last season. :mjol:

Or that Philly roster was tailor made to deal with AI shooting 5-27 every other game and survived him shooting 34% in that series. :ld:

Sounds like Kawhi. Didn't average 20 til his fifth season. :jbhmm:

This is one of the most ridiculous posts in here. Marcus fukking Camby made an immediate impact on Toronto? :dead:

They won 16 fukking games his second season and traded him to the Knicks a day after that draft with Vince Carter.

If the roles were reversed what happens:lupe: Iverson takes the Bucks to finals.

Ray and the Sixers lose to VC and the Raptors.

Ray is not nice enough to carry a squad like that to the finals. He was never MVP caliber.

Kawhi went thru a Bron-Less east and beat injury depleted GSW. I bet AI would have a great shot at beating LA if Shaq got hurt.

Ok my friend I am not raising my blood pressure arguing about this all night. Who was the 2nd best offensive player on the Sixers in 2000-2001?
Rd 1 McKie averaged 17, 4, 4
mutombo averaged 10 15 5
Snow 12 6 5
Lynch 8 7

rd 2
McKie 16,6, 4
Mutombo 11, 12, 3

rd 3
Mutombo 17 16 3
McKie 16 5 7

Finals
Mutombo 17 12 2
McKie 13 4 6

I have Iverson jerseys. Copped Allen Iverson shoes 1-3.

But I have to go with Phoenix Steve Nash. 50/40/90 player

Iverson had way more impact on the game tho. Went to the park everyday as a you going pretending to be Iverson lol

I am well aware they had an excellent defense everyone knows this but man no one on that team could get a bucket lol shyt was Amazing imo.

Kobe in 2006 is a better example of what you're trying to argue. The support around him wasn't very good defensively or offensively and did rely on his usage, creation volume to carry them. So as a result they were wildly inconsistent and lost in the first round (though they did come close to pulling an upset). Same with Wade in 2009 - best RS of his career, lost in the first round due to limited team support.

These are both better players having better seasons than Iverson ever had but with less success because their teams...were worse. Not about the player. Its the team and who their competition is. But for some reason we put the player before the team in a team sport and then create narratives about how their greatness led to x result.

Iverson gets wildly overrated when you use that 2001 run as an example of how good he was compared to peers. Should not be considering it some joke for one for the GOAT creators to be considered better than him.

Anyway.

I think Bill Simmons is the "US" version of Ellen Degeneris.

Y’all really pick and choose when being in a weak East matters for y’all. Or when playoff performances stop mattering.

I saw Nash give teams buckets in the playoffs, take games over, and pick apart offenses. You couldn’t really take anything away from him.

Weak East has become a code word for me now when someones is trying to spin an opinion...

Bill Simmons is a casual

I remember the sohh days very well. Nobody on there even had nash as a top 20 player until dantoni turned him to a star. To compare a guy like that to an actual superstar is disrespectful. Simmons should be slapped for this

Imagine nash playing with Eric snow Aaron McKie and tryrone hill :dead:

Iverson shot 34% that series and the refs were fukking the Bucks over.

Why is Dikembe in that list like he wasn't DPOY 3 times, 3 time All-NBA team, and 6 time all-star before going to Philly?

best hes prob the best player ai played with... and he would come off the bench if we rate him as a nash teamate :yeshrug:

It took awhile for Nash to become Nash. Then you have to factor Dantoni, he was a big part of Nash success. He was a good player in Dallas but he really became what he was in PHX. Those Suns teams had a lot of talent, more talent than AI ever had. Not taking anything away from Nash but he really don't deserve those MVP awards :ld:

Ray Allen was nice but he was not on Iverson's level. Bucks had a better roster than Philly but they still lost. He's just wasn't the impact player that AI was.
:hubie:

If iverson played for dantoni he’s in that top 2 or 3 pg of all time convo

if nash doesn’t play for dantoni he has zero chance at hall of fame and half this board doesn’t even know who he is

Prime Nash? Yes cmon that’s foolish to think otherwise

Context

“prime nash” doesn’t exist in philly

no spacing, no offensive options

Fax. All these nikkas look at is FG% :mjlol: Funny cuz nikkas be clowning someone like Zo for taking 2-3 seasons to get it together but Nash took 5-6 seasons to break out but that’s ok cuz he shot good percentages. Start your franchise with a cac who averaged 7/4 until his 26 brehs :mjlol::mjlol:

Boy what I would give to see prime AI with floor spacing and a P&R option :banderas:.

People toss around shooting percentages; these two may as well had been playing different sports.

Sad that boys don't have no common sense lol

If a past his prime Iverson put up the best efficiency of his career in Denver, the fukk you think he woulda did with Danton

Boys really comparing Iverson to a dude who was told to kick rocks so a team could pay Erick dampier
