Yeah at 27 years old after playing 3 seasons in Dallas and 5 seasons overall. And he was putting up 7 dimes a game. He wasn’t the elite Nash putting up 11 dimes a game until MDA. Nash was not elite his whole career or a superstar. When he was 29/30ish he linked up with MDA and shined. Before that he was a good player who sometimes made the all star team. Allen Iverson was a star
Yeah breh. He made two all nba teams in Dallas. He was already a great player. :dahell:

Lead em to what?
Russillio’s point about Iverson only getting past the first round one time after 2001...

He didn’t make all nba until his 6th season and it wasn’t even first team. Stop acting like he was some star player he was a late bloomer who got boosted by MDA. AI was a legitimate superstar, real baller, a real legend

They're on the same level but I would take A.I. over Nash slightly

How are they on the same level? What black man can average 7pts and 4 dimes a game for 4 seasons and then become good at 27 in his 6th year and be considered at the same level as guy who put up 23/7 and dominated at 21 rookie season? AI was an elite player for several coaches/systems and Nash was only elite with MDAs system. Just cuz he was an all star in Dallas after 4 tries doesn’t mean he was elite he was just a good player who was great later in his career.

I here you man. Especially when you consider that people spend a great deal of time shytting on Steve’s biggest accomplishments...that being those MVPs and romanticizing AI’s...that being the 01 run

Steve got those MVPs and didn’t make the finals....AI got the MVP and made the finals the same year. He lost 4-1 in the finals and still managed to have the most memorable play from the series. Nash could never carry a team like AI did that year simple as that

I see the argument for both but I've always seen AI as the better player

Nash was a huge beneficiary to the rule changes and playing for D'Antoni. AI benefited as well with him averaging 33 PPG in 06 and just being overall more efficient but he was past his physical prime by then, early 00s AI would have really benefited from the 04-05 rule changes. I wouldn't build a team around either tbh (size matters, and neither could defend) but if I had to it would be AI

Afaic Nash isn't even the best PG of his era, Kidd was better imo
