Bill Simmons wonders if Lamar is Derrick Rose status. Other mobile QBs who just lost it.

I think next year would be best to judge...however, he'll be 30 in January 2027. So he's going to have to be one of those rare athletes that still dyamic after a certain age.

Mobile QBs who have been taking extra hits since pop warner...
After 2010 no one thought Vick would be washed in 2 years. No one would have guessed Cam would have peaked at 26.

Hopefully Lamar is one of one. I hope he adjusts his training in the offseason. He's been injured 3 of the last 5 years. Time to invest millions in his body.

I don't even watch enough Football to add anything. But I'll watch this thread to learn

I'm guessing he mostly has the natural athletic gifts but lacks the fundamental skills to have a game that ages gracefully?

Wouldnt say that. His fundamentals have improved tremendously the last few years. He can really throw the ball.

He just looks off.

Like a guy whose body has been hit too much throughout his life.

Again its too soon to say he's DROSE status. However, DROSE issues wasnt fundamentals imo. Just a guy whose body couldnt hit the floor as often anymore.

Lamar has definitely lost a half a step, maybe just an injury he came into the year with or maybe it's flab. Guess we'll know next year
