lol so of course he decided to take the job with KD and Russy...But didn't want to go to Orlando....Hmmph.
That's not the Orlando offer he got; he took the Orlando job back when they had Dwight Howard but backed out and they got Stan Van Gundy instead.

I would be terrified to hire Donovan to any NBA job after what he did to Orlando. I would have figured he would be blackballed

Sooooo much has changed since 2007 when he backed outta the Orlando job. His kids are now older, he's really done all he can do at Florida, and he hates how recruiting has turned into on the college level. Not to mention, he's friends with Sam Presti from what im hearing.

I don't think he's going to take it.

If KD and Russ leave then what?

No Prestige in a Coaching the Thunder

Theyve actually built well through the draft. If he turns it down and KD and Russ stay then what? Can't live life scared of hypotheticals breh

Tom Izzo didn't join the Cavs in 2006 because of the Uncertainty with Lebron and he was right not to take it

Now why would Billy Donovan ruin his rep to go through the possibility of having no talent in 1-2 years? Why would he want to go to play for an Owner that traded away James Harden?

Billy Donovan could and would get the Bulls Job, the Lakers Job etc.

Hell Billy Donovan could even get the Magic Job again and it would be wiser than taking the OKC Job

Going to have to get some decent assistant coaches around him if he takes it. Should check in with Mike Malone about that. Presti hired a couple people from his staff already including our D-League coach.

Kind of surprised Presti isn't waiting to see how some other stuff plays out in the playoffs though.

At least Anthony Grant just signed back on to be an assistant :francis:

I'm guessing he'll be the next head coach. I'd be OK with that. If only Billy did this sooner, we could've had Shaka Smart come back :mjcry:
