I never thought that day would come but here it is.
Word on the street is that bing.com () is finally better than google.com (search).


Google have been playing with search terms, reordering results, guessing what you "really want" and so many other games than if you know what you want and want to see what you want, bing is now the better choice.

Word on what street? Bing search is better than Google search in the same way that Isuzu>Toyota. Google basically made itself a verb. People don’t even say “search the internet” or “Look it up on the internet” they just say “Google it”

Also, ad/search is Google’s bread and butter while bing is just a pet project for Microsoft. There’s a reason why google pays apple upwards of $10B a year to keep it as the default search engine on their devices, and in return apple agrees to not make a google competitor.

90% of the problem is people don’t know how to use, let alone search the internet.

Have you noticed the obvious data shaping thats going on these days? Search engines used to be impartial, like referees, but now they're actively jumping in the game to score a few points here or there depending on who is moneyhatting the most or whichever agenda they wish to push.

Its interesting as its happening across the board and most people don't even realize the manipulation in effect but its obvious when you compare results using different portals. It went into overdrive in 2020 as it was a background thing but that year it went mainstream and they didn't even try and hide the data shaping to manage perceptions.
