If someone hadn't said it I don't think most people would think 2 Chainz even had a degree. Everything from the way he raps to the dumb sh!t he's gotten himself into would lead me to conclude he's anything but educated and mature. That's what he presents to the public anyway. Same with Gucci Maine, a bonafide idiot. Game's on the soundtrack too, while at the same time in a beef that involves Pirus, snitching, fair ones, the potential for real violence, etc..

Still, to be fair, as mentioned earlier those artists can still be inspired by this piece of history. Admittedly though it does look a bit contradictory having certain artists on the soundtrack considering the theme of the film. Then again, the film is about rebellion, so maybe it is fitting to have those artists on the project.
While i agree there are more artists that can respresent the aspect of movie and the history by their music.

@thekingsmen Nate Parker addressed the very subject of this thread, and it sounds like he got Wayne, Gucci, etc., to be in harmony with the theme of the movie. He admitted too that they were needed to attract younger people to the film, but his purpose in doing so sounds genuine.
