I disagree I think the eco impact is gonna sink it.
Ethereum is what’s here to stay IMO
Then again I could be overestimating the ‘save the planet’ crowd.

I dont think the eco impact will impact it all. People care about the environment. When people are asked to sacrifice, they care a lot less.
At least here in the US. The myth of rugged individualism at the expense of community is ingrained into us and why we are failing.

There's a lot of differences, but basically you dont need a super computer to mine ethereum and the power consumption to do so is a lot less than mining bitcoin.
To add, the actual use case for Ethereum (smart contracts) is what will keep it around IMO. Bitcoin is really just digital gold...
