Finally got around to read a book on Bitcoin. I was surprised to hear that:
Roughly 80% of hashing power is owned by Chinese mining pools like BTC.com and Antpool. Plus they’re the leading producers of application-specific integrated chips
It’s non-fungible
bitcoin and its underlying infrastructure is so well-thought out (proof-of-work, longest chain rule, ECDSA, P2P, etc.) that I highly doubt Satoshi Nakamoto is an single person. It’s definitely not that old Japanese geezer whose photo is all over the internet
