NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 22-year-old Brooklyn woman fatally stabbed her father and attempted to kill her younger sister in a rage over a laptop, prosecutors said Monday.

The motive emerged as Nikki Secondino, an Instagram model, was arraigned on a murder indictment and returned to Rikers Island, where she is still being held without bail for the Dec. 29 attack in the family's Bensonhurst home.
Secondino is also charged with assault and weapons possession in the six-count indictment unsealed in court.
"This defendant is charged with brutally killing her own father and then stabbing her younger sister, allegedly following an argument over a laptop," Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement.
Secondino is accused of murdering her father, Carlo, 61, and injuring her 19-year-old sister, Liana. She initially told police that intruders broke into the family home and attacked her father and sister, but later confessed to the bloodshed.

"I came out of the bedroom, and I saw my father sitting on [the] couch sleeping, and I bashed [his] head in with [a] hammer," she said, according to a previous criminal complaint obtained by the New York Post.
"I grabbed my favorite German steel knife and stabbed the s–t out of him," she said in the complaint. "My sister came out of her bedroom and tried to stop me, and then I stabbed her in the back, head and stomach. I wanted them dead."
Sources told the outlet that the family has a turbulent history.
Nikki obtained a temporary restraining order against her father and sister in late July, saying Liana threatened to kill her and that her father was in "the mob," according to the report, which cited sources as saying the mafia allegations were untrue.
On July 15, she told police that her father had threatened to kill her, and two days later, her sister was charged with assault and criminal mischief for reportedly ripping down window blinds and cutting Nikki's hand.
A judge then granted the order, according to the sources.
The family’s history wasn’t all bad. In a 2020 interview, Nikki, who is transgender, said on the "United We Rant" podcast that she transitioned to being a woman in her late teens and that her father was always supportive and accepting of her transition.
