It wasnt perfectly acceptable it was naive,naive to think anyone elected into the office of president would serve the interests of anyone but the same elite they always serve. As if his skin colour was suppose to change anything.

It was not naive. If a Jewish man gets elected is it wrong for the Jewish community to assume he has their back? Is wrong for Chinese Americans to assume a Chinese American politician would have their back? Nope, but black people are stupid for assuming black people have their back? Isn't that how white christian males do it?

If you are NOT SUPPOSED to help out people that are your color then why is Clarence Thomas considered a sell out? Technically he isn't supposed to help his people like you are saying.
