Anything is possible so they could get a small space in the country music scene, but taking over?

In THIS country???

The actions, ideals, and attitude of the current administration lie at the current extreme of an ongoing direct path that begins with the election of Barack Obama back in 2008. The chaos in LA today was seeded within the dawning of the Tea Party. 17 years ago.

Let's never be so naive and/or stupid to get this wrong again in our lifetimes: When white people feel like taking either a sector or even the entire country back to some type of nostalgic default of theirs, they will.

:heh:

It was literally done before. Ray Charles had one of the highest selling Country albums in Country Music history; it came out in 1962 during the Jim Crow era. Country music artists even acknowledge that Brother Ray opened up Country music to audiences in other parts of the World.

Don't forget that Black people helped create Country music.

You know who Charlie pride is?
If you want to say black country is making a resurgence great, but half of all just want to be around white and get white attention instead of recognizing we made all this shyt.

Bruh, one artist being amongst the top of the genre isn't taking over anything, and this is a much different world than it was then. White people are the face of country music in the USA.

That ain't changing anytime soon.

Enjoy your eventual disappointment when you see for yourself, I guess. :yeshrug:

Blues, Country, Rock wouldn't exist without us. They were already ours and we should have stayed in the charts the whole time.
People could just look up the impact of African Americans on Country music. The first contribution was that the banjo came from West Africa. The second would be Leslie Riddle. He was a Blues man that was a song catcher of Blues songs for AP Carter of the Carter family. Leslie Riddle also taught Maybelle Carter how to play the slide guitar.

Then there was a Black Blues man named Rufus "Tee Tot" Payne. He was a mentor for Hank Williams. Then there was Arnold Schultz who taught Bill Monroe how to play Blue Grass music. Then there is Deford Bailey who literally was one of the earliest stars of the Grand old Opry.

Mickey Guyton was practically begging for support to no avail so I don't want to hear shyt about taking back the genre.

I'll believe it when more black artist actually start getting airplay on country radio outside of Shaboozey.

:russ: one?

Charlie Pride. Leslie Riddle. Rufus "Tee Tot" Payne. Arnold Schultz. Deford Bailey. Then there are Soul musicians that were were clearly singing crossover music. Older White audiences were well aware of it. Sam Cooke even did a Contry song called "Tennessee Waltz." He killed that shyt.
