:what: I'm akon status

Haters mad for whatever reason :wow:

Not mad, just never really liked the song. Its cool. But it has no turn up value, the lyrics don't match the hook, and the Jimmy John or whatever his name is, fukked up the song even more with that wack ass verse..........

Ion really give a fukk about what billboard has to say about anything. That's like reading about the history of Africa from a white textbook.
How do you gauge what ppl are listening to?

Its kinda hard nowadays since music is so niche but since I'm at an HBCU in an urban environment it's easier to stay on top of things. But I would say for rap thecoli is more nostalgic so don't gauge it through here. I would say Black Twitter is a good viable metric just gauge it from the hype based on attention whenever a notable rapper drops then see what tracks people like the most, then see for yourself if it could possibly appeal to white people as well. if so it will land high on the charts if enough other media is created to supplement the hype. This is not my process because I can usually tell whether a song is gon pop based off first listen but that's what I tell people to do.
