Went to an event today that showcased different black owned businesses in the community. Saw a handful of brothas selling bootleg dvd's :Hidden colors and various lectures readily available on youtube for free. I also had a chance to try some food from local restaurants. An African lady , bless her heart , was selling vegan chilli. The chilli was ice cold. Even after it was brought to her attention , she continues to sell cold chilli to the people and collect money while her son attempted to correct the error. Supporting black businesses is absolutely necessary if we intend to improve our condition , but these proprietors need to deliver.

Like anything that services people, there needs to be a certain level of pride in what you do.
