How did we get duped into believing a subpar liquor was an integral part of black American culture?
Hennessy is far from subpar.

It’s still one of the four main houses of Cognac from France (and Ireland)

Just because it’s been run into the ground by the hip hop scene and is normally mixed with a gallon of coke, does not mean it’s bad.

There are better version of it of course, and different cognacs. But VSOP version is good, XO is smoother and then you get into the signature lanes.

I was more of a Courvoisier man. But the hard liqueur doesn’t sit right with me anymore and to bea honest I just prefer a nice Belgium blond beer or two and just some water.
