If you're a non Black/African/West Indian etc muslim this isn't the thread for you. I want the opinions of Blacks only. How should I go about joining a Mosque? What obstacles do you think I will face? Anything I should know beforehand? Which kind of islam would you recommend? NOI/Sunni/Shi'ite etc

If you would like to join a Mosque, there's several in New York City but what denomination are you looking to become? Secondly you have to understand there's great sacrifice involved and them brothers worse than the army when it comes to owning you. You are the property of "Allah", the greatest sacrifice is your life...if you die serving Islam it is believed you live in a paradise where you grow to be 33 years old, FOREVER. To me Islam is a competition, the greater the sacrifice, the higher up in paradise you live. This life means NOTHING, you're preparing for the afterlife. This is why these brothers have no problem strapping bombs to their chests and blowing up dozens of innocent people. It's really selfish when you think about it.
I will say though, from my experience African brehs REALLY embrace you whether you're Muslim or not. More than Middle Eastern Muslims. So I'd suggest
Muhammad's Mosque Number Seven, and I also know mad African brehettes who come to New York for vacation, who prefer to visit
Malcolm Shabazz Mosque. But honestly I think it's all BS, like with any religion it's usually narrated by human interest, good or bad.
