I knew about this but not to this extent, basically explains that Spain took out the ancient Aztecs, Tainos and Incas using mixed Spaniard and African battalions, and then when the wars where over would grant Black soldiers freedom. But some of those same soldiers now who were freed ended up becoming the first Maroons and pirates in the former Spanish colonies and fought against the empire.

Ive heard of the process of African slaves freeing themselves in Spanish/Portugese colonies through debt repayment/civil law suits but never as warriors. No wonder some Hispanicrehs are always wondered why some Latino countries that barely have any Black people in them were heavily racist, this would explain it.

In regards to your last point people really have to educate themselves on how the racial hierarchy was created in South/Latin America in order to ensure white people (Spaniards) remained on top and African people (black) at the bottom.

There’s so much shyt we already know and could discern just by being black but when you really study it answers so many questions.
