nah, I feel exactly where you're coming from
now I'm not gonna put the bro in the video in this category, but there's a trend I'm noticing in social media/content creation and MSM that's troubling
is this notion that because voting "doesn't work" or is pointless (huge fallacies as you've pointed out) the only thing that does "work" is for us poverty playas to just suck it up and grind.
that's it. just get up out the bed at 4-5am, do some exercise, work for uber & lyft, learn to code, learn a trade and uhhhh meditate. that's it.
that's the limits of not only conservatism, but mainly liberalism as well. that's where the imagination ends.
not lobbying on the ground for rent control (like what happened in LA where grassroots, everyday people made that a ballot issue) or M4A
not attending or try to run for local offices, or stage any kind of direct action that gets in the way of the everyday banal injustices driven by the pursuit of capital.
but to not engage AT ALL. lol it's basically "if you not trying to get out and get it, then you're wasting your time."
and that's the biggest problem we have in this country. apathetic capitalist shunning any kind of disorder or disobedience, next to the decadent, performative nihilism that a lot of genuine people have succumb to for a variety of factors.
but, that doesn't mean no one is fighting back.
Maybe I'm wrong in feeling this way or maybe it's just how condescending he came off but I think he and people like him are full of shyt. He didn't vote but wanted to prop up the capitalist system that discourages our people when it comes to voting? He's full of shyt
