We all know that black people age differently than everyone else. The melanin keeps us protected from the sun, our greater elasticity and thicker skin warding off the visible effects of aging. However, that's not enough to prevent the onset of the eventual effects of wear and tear that contribute to the signs of age. For those of you who want to add a buffer to the inherent strengths of black skin, my advice would be to use:

- Alpha Hydroxy. It's an exfoliant that sloughs away dead skin cells. Regular use will sweep your skin of rough patches, including any pock marks from acne, and keep you looking smooth.

- Retinol. This is an over-the-counter version of Retin-A, a vitamin A derived solution that aids in skin repair and boosts collagen, removing wrinkles.

- Niaminicide Found in lotions and serums, this acid restores the barrier to your skin, essentially replenishing moisture to the surface and brightening dark spots.

Also, drink a gallon of water a day, at least. Regular adherence to this regimen will shave off 10 years from your apperance, at least. If you're 50, you will definitely look late 30s (at least) if you use this.
