He only got to that position because of David Kenner (his lawyer, who was a conniving chess playing genius who represented mainly criminals, and got Suge off most of his charges), dikk Griffey (OG who owned Solar Records, basically the Suge before Suge, took Suge under his wing), and Harry O (big time drug dealer who's money funded Death Row)

He kicked Harry O and dikk Griffey out the picture once shyt began to pop off around 1992/1993, and shortly after became a star himself being on the front of magazines and shyt, so by perception, people think he didnit all himself when it was false. It wasn't even 100% his company. D.O.C. and Dr Dre were originally partners. Suge is just that lucky guy who wins a billion dollars. Irv is a genius too. He resurrected Def Jam. But he kept showboating his association with Supreme, which bit him in the ass. He was too infatuated with that whole mafia persona instead of just getting money as one of the greatest execs of the 2000s

Suge isnt a genius though. He's a moron. nikka was more interested in beefs and murder and showboating blood associations than focusing on his label. Danny Boy, Nate Dogg, Lady Of Rage should all had albums out in 1995, more development should have went into his artists. But he was too busy beefing doing dumb shyt
