shyt, I understand. I have tried to get so much shyt off the ground with my homies and for one reason or another someone is always bullshytting. Eventually you get tired of trying to make shyt work so you reach out to someone not in your circle cuz getting the project done correctly is more important than forcing a half assed effort out your boy.

Same concept with Tariq and what he's saying. He would rather have people get the job done right cuz people will still pop shyt with a all black cast anyway if the results are unprofessional.

I'm still trying to figure out what would be the narrative of a white filmmaker hiring black people for a project on white empowerment and how bad black people treat white people? Can't nobody answer that question?

This is true. You have to hire who can put out a quality purpose that will sell. Ideally, this is black people, and you want to put other black people on, but you have to have a viable 'something' to sell. That takes skill and talent that your immediate circle don't always have at the start. Really real though, you could have a group of friends that are learning together and your skills grow as your projects grow, then, by the time you're ready for a 'big' thing, you got dudes that can get it done and who look like you, so everyone wins there.

That's what Lebron did. His buddies were apprenticing under Lebron's handlers, from the beginning. The handlers just didn't know it.
