OK big discussion on my FB timeline that I kind of wanted a Coli view on regarding the military


I'm split on military service. On one hand you have people who put their lives on the line. But then some get caught up in the promotion of white supremacy not realizing once they get home, u might be a vet but you are just another nikka to some trigger happy cop. But they low key promote patriotism without sometimes realizing or acknowledging the wickedness behind the country they fight so hard for. I mean some of the biggest c00ns and uncle toms I met were part of the military falsely believing their service makes them unaffected by US discrimination against blacks. Plus they always try to make it seem like joining the Army is a noble act but it's not that's why Pat Tillman got so much press. For a guy to leave a lifestyle of money and fame to serve your country, THAT'S A UNICORN. Most people in the Army chose it due to a lack of options

General Colin Powell and other non-white people have ascended beyond enlisted ranks. Racism will never go away. If you want to make the Army a career, there isn't the ceiling you think exists, as women and other races are able to get promoted.
As for war, it is what it is. If you don't like it, then don't join. There's always the Coast Guard too.

I wouldn't advise anyone to join the military.

There's the risk of death.
If you're a woman, there's the risk of sexual assault -- which appears to be rampant in the military.
There's PTSD.
There's the risk of injury, sometimes major stuff like amputation.
There's stress.
There's a seemingly high rate of infidelity (although I'm not sure if the stats support this).
You travel a lot -- and I guess that is pretty cool, but can be tough if you are close to family and friends.

But that's just my view.

On the positives, if you put in your years, you can enjoy a pretty good quality of life and have a lot of benefits.
Pay seems to be really good the more you move up.
There appear to be education perks.
There's definitely a certain level of excitement -- you get trained in some pretty cool stuff, I would imagine.

If you feel like it's calling you, give it a shot, breh.

Pick the CORRECT service for yourself, do your time, use it as a stepping stone or don't do shyt

I say use it the same way militais and white nationalist paramilitary groups use the military. Get the training come back and teach it to your fellow black people.Or find like minded black folks and create a pro black militia. People make fun of white militias but I say about 70% of them are hardcore because have Iraq and Afghanistan war battle hardened veternas who are ready to bring war in America. Plus they have sympathy from white conservatives,and law enforcement. This is what alot of white folks are using the military.
