Anton de Kom was an Afro-Surinamese freedom fighter, anti-colonial writer and an activist. He died in a Nazi concentration camp in Germany in 1945.

We Slaves of Suriname was his own work and the first book written by an Afro-Surinamese man.

His book was BANNED by The Netherlands out of fear of it’s content causing uprisings throughout the African Diaspora.

Only recently his book was republished with instant classic reviews, putting his work alongside the likes of Frantz Fanon and W.E.B Dubois.

Since then The Netherlands has given him honor repair and added his work to the Canon of The Netherlands.
RIP Anton de Kom :mjcry:

Everything they did in Germany they did in Namibia. Yet it's not classified as a Holocaust.

Technically there are many Black people who experience those atrocities regardless of being in Germany or not.
Yep. They learned concentration camps from the British during the Boer War and scientific racism from American environmentalists.
