It's crazy but at that point outside of a couple of shows it was very uncommon to see Black children and other ethnicities interacting and playing with white children much less sitting together. The older episodes of Sesame St had so much substance.

I personally learned to speak English watching Sesame Street and The Electric Company.

Not surprised that cracker politicians tried to remove the show from their local public tv station. Couldn't have their kids seeing other kids as regular people. That would counter the racist brainwashing they were feeding them since birth. fukkin devils.
