In my smooth mind, I have yet to understand why grifting for white acceptance has always been a thing...

Breh, I remember when my mom was talking about moving to some townhomes near the outskirts of Philly (greater Northeast before fukkery spread out in that direction). That was like to this very day, the endgame for me, like folks wanting that Huxtable brownstone. Its all a catch 22, as folks from the early days wanted to move out of the block to find freedom, job opportunity, and a peace of mind in the burbs. The problem lies in forsaken movements, not passing the buck, and scoffing on the hood in itself.

Instead of 50 going "fukk the hood", he should have push for growth in the communities in the hood. And as a forever instructor trying to uplift and be the change for a community organization for low income families, the battle is fierce like a mofo due to:

• In and out better than you bougie black reps
• Cacs that are too ashamed to embrace that they need the same help as low income black folks
• Finances going more ways than the community
• Job fairs being glorified wrestling greet and meets ("oh wow thats crazy, here's my card and leave a message that I will never return")
• Cult like antics to avoid spending money on employees
• Relying on the white man to keep things afloat

Its a sad, sad, type of affairs. One day I wish for a moment where folks are on one accord to push for bettering the community, without feeling trapped within the community of no growth due to stubbornness, us vs us, and bettering the environment to spread sporatically to the point where the hood is a place to call your first home, while embracing your dream home.
