Shut the fukk upI mean, male privilege was definitely a thing back then regardless of social status, however it's disingenuous to compare the privilege of male slaves to white women. I understand the underlying comparison of womanhood as chattel, but that in itself dismisses a (non-enslaved) woman's own agency.

Ok:
Try again
I still don't understand the underlying comparison. Womanhood and the complexities of white womanhood under white male patriarchy doesn't seem right in any context when compared to chattle slavery. There's no "Well, it was sorta, kiiinda similar to actual chattel slavery" Context to be had here. Chattle slavery is so evil and insidious, you can't make comparisons in any way, if it wasn't exactly that.
