A 50-year-old black man was beaten in the Bronx by a trio of men who derided him with a racial slur and then burned his face with boiling water, the Daily News has learned.
The victim is expected to survive the harrowing Sunday night attack.
The attack is being investigated as a hate crime. One source described the suspects as three Hispanic men.
The drama unfolded about 8:55 p.m. at W. Kingsbridge Road and Grand Ave as the suspects allegedly punched and kicked the victim and called him a n-----.
One of the suspects then burned his face with what is believed to be boiling water, sources said.
The victim was rushed to Jacobi Hospital with what one source called severe burns.
