Because the image Hollywood portrays of black people is incredibly ignorant and negative. So you get these Africans believing it too and other races who have zero interaction with anyone black.
Most Africans know some parts of Africa are comparable to the western world, some places look piff and the continent itself is mad beautiful, there's a reason cacs travel there every single year. Yet the portrayal that the whole continent is some dirt poor third world is rife and that the populace is ignorant.

), NBA, hip-hop, being muscular, athletically gifted etc. Of course, most of these aren't negative per se but it strips away the individual. Not everyone is going to have this. All humans do is generalise shyt they have no idea about so if your image that's being pumped worldwide is negative, that's what people are going to see you as. It's why cacs hate it when their past is mentioned.
