Then it really shouldn't shock you. We exploit each other too, and it's very hard to do something you have no real precedent in doing, without mentors. Black people were alienated to the point that people who were great with the land died. I think other skills were those in NE industry, but there was very little way of owning those business.
Black really didn't get up the human capital to translate to business capital until the 60's, when we were legally now able to go to schools and train our skill sets. Then the assimilation period of the 70's came and fukked up a lot of progress, and we coasted back down to the basics outside a very talented few. Drugs and horrible family conditions springing from it atrophied our motivation again. It really wouldn't return until the early 90's, as the rise of the hip hop near millionaires and bona-fide Hollywood superstars started having people wanting the high life again.
Still, there was no road map to training the VOTECH skills. All of us, including myself, but I was more a computer kid, wanted that pathway to riches in the quickest way possible, and when you're too ambitious, you fail to see the alternatives.
Construction is really a young man's game, as you have to start off cheap and as someone's apprentice, and earn your status and proving your name. It just wasn't a focus, as a lot of us didn't even think the world would be here in 10 years. The smart ones write their own ticket in this world. That's why I try to be as positive as possible. We have to be able to mentor each other, because everyone else is.
Anyway, if you want to stop illegal immigration, put illegals on path to citizenship, force companies to pay them equal pay and then fine the companies and additional 25% path citizenship tax

I don't know about the pathway to citizenship. They should pay a pretty hefty tax for all the shyt they've used for free here, as well as problems they've caused legal-wise.
