Black people do need INSTITUTIONS more than they need rich individuals. Through institutions more black entrepreneurs can be produced, More black jobs can be produced, ect. When companies get acquired they don't always write out a billion dollar check. Sometimes they write out a check and give shares in the business that you use to own that might add up to a billion dollars in value. If that is the case, the breh might not have a billion cash sitting in his bank.
just because the Hop Stop app was shut down doesn't mean that it didn't have potential. I didn't read the article so I don't know the reason why it was shut down but the breh who wrote the app created a utility, not just an app for leisure. There is always value in that. If they could have found a way to expand the apps use I think it could have still been very valuable.
