WARNER ROBINS, GEORGIA: A man in Georgia saved a child from a violent attack by holding the perpetrator at gunpoint until police arrived. Kelcey Willis, an armed hero, told local station TV WGXA that while changing oil at a Walmart in Warner Robins, Georgia, on Nov 6, he watched a man drag a crying child out of his car and into the woods. The heroic man explained, "The screaming kept getting louder and louder, and that didn't sit right with us. My first instinct was to grab my gun and go get that kid out of the woods."

Willis claimed he followed the two into the woods, where he observed the assailant throw the child to the ground and begin to choke him. He then drew his gun and grabbed the child, he said. Haimnarine Doobay, 67, was accused of choking a boy after taking him from a car into the woods behind a Walmart, according to a Nov 6 statement from the Warner Robins Police Department. It further states that Willis held Doobay at gunpoint until police arrived.

The department reported that Doobay was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and cruelty toward a child. According to WGXA, the child, who was connected to Doobay, was sent to the juvenile department of the Houston County sheriff's office for care and follow-up. After the Warner Robins Police Department posted the update on Facebook, people praised the hero Willis for his brave act. One user commented, "Thank goodness there was an Angel watching over this child!!" Another wrote, "Great job saving the child." One user penned, "We need more people like you it's like we have to do the cops job for them." Another said, "This is the reason responsible gun owners carry guns.. To protect.. If this person wouldn't have been armed to stop this man who knows what would have happened to this child. God bless him!!!" People also praised the department, "Great job WRPD and the good citizen who helped." Another user penned, "Great job to the witness, callers who took action and to the LE team who got him in custody! With that age difference it seems highly unlikely that the victim was his child, and choking a kid in the woods outside of Walmart sounds absolutely insane no matter the circumstances. Thankful someone intervened armed! "You are a hero to me. Good job. You saved a human life," said one user. Another user thanked the hero and wrote, "Sweet holy Jesus. Thank you to the person with the gun that saved that child’s life. You are a true hero."

Props to him. Just thinking about how it could’ve ended seeing a black man holding a family at gunpoint.

Wtf was that guys plan? Take a crying child into the woods and choke them into submission? The hell y’all on in Georgia?
