I intervene once she starts separating black men and black women as two separate forces.

That is the point where she truly becomes a house negro.

not in the long term way of thinking but its your preference, im not trying to change that :yeshrug:

me personally, i don't want a women who is a slave to someone else hair to feel pretty.

I hear u breh it's just funny to me. If a woman is good to me and looks good to me, whatever hairstyle she's wearing that week is irrelevant, imo.

In fact, I think in the late 90's, my mom came home with a weave and it was one of those situations where you could tell instantly that it wasn't working out (her face is too round to pull it off) so we all kinda looked at her like :ld: and didn't say anything, but it looked hilarious. A month or so later, she got it taken out and that was the end of it. It's funny to me that dudes around here would point to something like that out of everything that she's done in her life and call it some kind of 'defining moment' revealing a deep-seeded sense of self hatred. It's like... I dunno trying too hard to be mad at black women or something.

:yeshrug:

Anyway, I digress.

Edit: Oh mom also enjoys Scandal.

I have had multiple black women tell me that they weren't pretty without their weave and that they needed it cause they don't have "good hair" Like I said me personally I wouldn't want anything long term with someone who doesn't feel pretty without another persons hair on their head.

I don't really care about weaves like ya'll seem to. (wtf is with that anyway)?

I don't know. It IS a bit creepy to see relatively young and healthy people wearing wigs made out of other people's hair without having cancer or a real reason. :ld:

I was at Wendy's the other day and this chick was on the phone talking to her hairdresser and at one point in the conversation, she goes, "Yeah, I already bought the hair. I wanted HUMAN. Yeah, I wanted to make sure I got HUMAN."

I was thinking, "I get it. I've grown to understand, but yooooo....when it's vocalized...." :patrice:

I work with kids. How do you explain that to a child? Kid'll probably look at you like :dwillhuh: :leostare::usure:"...but you HAVE hair that you grow."

Ya'll are making your point. And you're right there's something about vocalizing it that makes it .

I wouldn't intervene at all because I really don't care. The ROI wouldn't be worth it. :yeshrug: Just let her become :flabbynsick: and  and make up delusions about why she "can't find a man".
