If you justify having a poor kids to resources ratio then I definitely won't help you with taking care of your kids.
You justify a problem, you admit it exists. You admit to having kids just because so don't ask me to help you or your struggling children. You just made the conscious decision to have babies before you could afford them and even justified it.

How long have people been "mentoring" blacks in inner cities? Since the 1980's. How long have people been saying that situations in the inner cities are "starting to turn around"? Since the early 1990's.
Clearly that hasn't been working. You want people to fix a leaky ship, meanwhile you and your children are drilling holes at the bottom of the ship.
That each one teach one doesn't work. Stop acting like it does. It's not worth the headache to fix that ship when you can build a new one and keep the undesirables off of the new ship.

You can be a mentor in just how you act/behave...Being a mentor means doing the right thing, walking right, talking right, living a good lifestyle. You all I think miss how important it is for kids right in your neighborhood to see that. Be the one going to college, they might see you and say, "well this dude/girl went to college, maybe it's not as far-fetched/impossible as I thought"
You never know, you may be the ONLY person they see that's doing the right thing. As a male, YOU may be the ONLY man they see treating a lady right (not pimping them or running thru them or whatever) they may never say a word to you, but they looking at you.
Think about how many songs or interviews where somebody says "I used to see the older heads blah blah blah" they remember that, so YOU may be that "older head" to someone else.
Just because it isn't your kid per sae, it is YOUR kid(s) because they're in your neighborhood/church/community. So I feel some sort of responsibility if they not doing right...Like, what more could I have done to help/prevent some of these things...again, you not gonna get EVERY kid but every ONE helps just a bit.
