Black men, why are we always the first ones to get disrespected online?

The Jussie Smolett shyt is just the latest in what seems like a constant reminder that we are at the bottom of the social totem pole. Even with the R. Kelly shyt, we get blamed for his success. We get blamed for everything. “nikkas ain’t shyt” “Black men not voting lead to Trump in office” “Black men don’t do xyz” and black women often join in.

I’m tired of this shyt brehs. The only reason I’m not flat out upset about this shyt is because it seems like no matter how bad we get shytted on, we can always get the draws....not that it makes it any better but it says a lot that we can be demonized and still sleep with the demonizers...I don’t get it.

How is online any different from real life? At least online you can avoid it.

In real life Black men are generally treated as persona non grata, no matter who you are or what the setting is. The online stuff is an extension of the real life stuf.

I think a lot of that rhetoric proliferates more on the internet and in academia, both of which are bubbles unto themselves

I don't think real, salt of the earth folks think that way

I also think a lot of it is compensating by Black folks who just discovered their Blackness(BLM, Black Twitter etc...) but still have self hatred issues, anti black male misandry is a way for them to still indulge that self hatred, albeit subconsciously

shytting on Black men has become an integral part of performative wokeness also :francis:

The factual answer is because all the Google/Facebook/Twitter etc engineers are entitled racist pricks who exclude black MEN from being protected by the hate speech/violation of terms algorithms but purposely include black women to foster divisiveness between the genders.
