Just realized that in the 90s, black movies were high quality, quite diverse in subject matter, and created an overall positive image of blacks. At the very least, the movies didn't depict blacks as a monolithic group. However, since the 2000s, the majority of black movies have either been slave films or c00nish Tyler Perry movies.
What do you guys think?
What do you guys believe has caused the downward spiral in the overall quality of black movies?
