Growing up in the late 80s and 90s, I'm old enough to have seen the decline of males in the neighobrhoods, families and churches and also the decline of respect, discipline and honor those same entities.
I grew up the projects in the South. Let's say there were 100 households there, there was about 25 men including my dad. Those men were like policemen in the neighborhood. They would correct any kids that were out of line.
Here we a now in 2015, not only are most of the men not present, the laws have made it to were men can't discipline or do anything to anyone, even his own kids. It's almost idiotic for a man to try to prevent a fight, tell a kid to stop cursing or anything of that nature. So many things could go wrong. The kids could curse him and hit him and that man has to back down and call the police. So nowadays most men just keep it moving.
The reason for me making this thread is something that happen at my Mom's side family get together. First off my mom's dads wasn't around much. Her mom ran the family pretty much solo. My Dad's father was a true Alpha. Old Lion. So many differences I could tell you about between them. I'll just tell you this, my mom has 2 sisters and one brother. They all living in rough areas in Louisiana and Texas. Her brother is the only one that doesn't constantly ask for stuff. They all on FB. My dad has 2 brothers and 5 sisters. The all own homes and rarely ask for anything. . They all have a little something to past down to their kids. None of them on FB
Anyway, at my Mom's side family rather in Houston. 2 teenage girls go into it and all hell broke out. There Moms were about to start fighting. CACs looking about about to call the Cops. There were a few Men there, we couldn't really do much. It became a big Louisiana vs Texas family fight. Leaving I thought to myself, this would have never happened at my Grandpa's house. Never.
Make laws to weaken men and give women incentives to be baby mothers and wonder why the family structures are in chaos breh.
