Yep. The only difference I'd say is that Cam is the face of his roster and gets 100 pct of the media spotlight while the goaltender hogs a lot of the media spotlight for MontrealFor the folks that dont follow hockey, subban is like cam in the way that he's REALLY fukking good, but people have a problem with him having "too much fun out there". He keeps making them mad by being one of the best defenders out there on one of the best teams.
It's the culture. It's kind of similar to Baseball in that individualism is discouraged. Baseball is ingrained in American culture so Hockey has less leewayHockey sucks at marketing

Doesnt help that only rich people can afford it eitherI agree a lot. Hockey the sport is great but the culture sucks and holds it's potential back. It won't change as long as the old boys network exists.
I blame Bettman for not marketing his players and the sad part about that is David Stern was his mentor and we all know how he marketed NBA players. 25 years ago everyone outside of hockey knew who Gretzky was now people outside of hockey don't know who Sidney Crosby is damn shame hockey doesn't market one of the top 5 players in the game.
I think some blame has to go on the players as well, a lot of them just want to play hockey and that's it. Most aren't looking to be in the spotlight, have endorsement deals, commercials, etc stuff like that
