They are still open. Yusef Salaam from the Central Park Five will be doing and Writing/ Healing workshop Monday the 7th. Drop them an email if no ones picking up the phone. Sisters Uptown Bookstore
Or hop your ass on the C train up there this weekend and ask in person. If they don't have it, they should be able to order it for you.

Good. I hate when people rush to think or assume a black business went out of business. No maybe they moved locations. Maybe they're remodeling. Maybe they're too busy to answer the phone. Maybe you're calling the wrong number. Don't assume that just because it's black owned that it went out of business after you called once or twice and nobody answered

I'm of no help. I buy most of my books off Amazon, (I know it kind of defeats the purpose of this thread, but I rarely go to bookstores anymore off convenience, just being honest). Last bookstore that I went to was in another state; that was only bc I happened to drive by and saw them giving away books for free.
