Indeed. When that young enlisted breh is sitting in meetings with 5-star generals as a DoD contractor in private sector, he should wear a more formal tie and I would rather him support Anderson's than Nordstroms. :smile:

To play the advocate, I had of important White House meetings in 2015/early 16, and cotton ties were not uncommon - I only wore cotton or knit myself actually. But hey, I'm not a tie guru lol.

I saw. I don't think the selections would interest many tenured professionals; hipsters yes. Like them but don't think my dad or uncles would wear them. Even the ones marketed for formal wear. Hopefully they will expand into the "black tie" market with a gain in popularity. Just a few pieces at least.


Yeah definitely for young professionals. It seems the uniform for men at my office is curdoroys or nice jeans with button downs and wool ties, sometimes a nice sweater or tweed jacket. And glasses. They always wear glasses.
