Anytime I see a black person with a "son" at the end of their first name(whether the son belongs there or not) I already know they're Haitian.

Haitians have 1st names like Wilkenson, Dukenson, Luckson, Sanderson, Albertson, Makenson. The "son" doesn't even sound right on some of these names....

Then you got Haitians with the "ler" at the end of their name. Fadler, Sendler, Eddler, etc.

Not really. God son in french-kreyol would be "Dieu-fils" which there are plenty. But i see what you mean tho. but "son" in french translates to "his". That's not at all what they mean. They just like the sound of "son" and use it as a suffix to a lot of names.

Some russian names are fairly common in Haiti. I knew a Wladimir, a Dimitri, a Manoushka , an Oksana and a Yuri.

All EXCEPT Dimitri lived on my block. Yuri was my next door neighbor and i was good friends sister Manoushka tho me and Yuri werent friends like that (he was much older). Wladimir was one of my good friends further up the street.
