Black people buying expensive gifts for parents

The other day my younger homegirl and i had a debate

she works at golden corral as a baker(not a waiter so no tips) and just started working there not too long ago.


She said for Christmas she gone get her mom a stove(around 3 raccs) and her dad a new TV

Me being me, i said what was on my mind.

I personally think its stupid how as soon as black ppl get money they buy their parents crazy ass gifts, when in reality they should be saving that money, then buy the gifts later on.

Hell my mom wouldnt even accept a $3000 gift from me.

Of course its no way for me to make that argument without sounding selfish, but its true. I always see nikkas, mainly black women, splurging all out on their parents, and I still think its dumb as hell.

The girl is 19 by the way
