Am I the only person who notices that blacks from the east seem to be more sophisticated than blacks in other regions? In language, dress, and overall culture. More educated and focused on what's important. Not as ratchet. It's almost like blacks down south and on the west are stuck back in time. An argument can be made that it applies to whites, as well, but I'm focused on our people. If you're going to raise a family, raise them in the easy, brehs.

I've heard west coast blacks speak and see how they dress. They're definitely as backwards as blacks from the south. The east is the only region in this nation that is home to black sophistication at its peak. And I'm not saying ALL blacks in those regions of the south and west. Of course not, as many of you attest to. But someone like you is an exception and not the norm.

Just because your ancestors escaped the antebellum south or your family got sympathy from the government to live here, doesn't mean your uppity ass is better. You tri-state c00ns will be back in the south soon enough because they are gentrifying en masse and the so called progressive blacks that are so much more progressive and smarter than southerners that they have to move back to the south because they didn't secure NOT A GOD DAMN THING so you don't own shyt up there and you can't afford shyt. The average southerner can afford a decent place to stay, an decent automobile and raise a family comfortably with 30-40% of the income it takes to live in the NE, especially New York City.

Ok... My state is ranked 40th in education but I busted my ass. My intelligence isn't indicative of my assumed quality of education. I have fluency in 2 other languages besides English and I have a good job with benefits living comfortably.

It's not ego. You are superior, academically and culturally speaking. I believe it's the liberalism of the east that allowed our ancestors to progress at a faster rate than our counterparts in the south and elsewhere. They're still playing catch up.
