- a couple days ago I was on a YT live and this older Black Woman was talking about how we need Trump back in office.

- I've even seen some black youtubers talk about trump and his presidency like it wasn't that bad and black people actually benefited from his policies.



I feel like this slippery slope started around the 2020 election when the modus operandi of many black online spaces was black people shouldn't be beholden to the democrats in return for nothing.

Somehow this became an indirect defense for the republicans.

I just fail to understand why black people in any capacity are gravitating to the republicans as they explicitly get more racist and more white supremacist in nature.

Its actually a simple answer when you think about it. We continue to adapt other agendas versus creating our own. For example some posters actually said it already. After segregation, blacks poured money into white businesses that initially could have cared less about our dollars. Instead of building up and supporting black communities, we brought into the messages of equality and fairness to name a few. That same mindset is ever present today. Personally I see history just repeating itself.
