Honestly with amount of people that refuse to live in an HOA neighborhood (such as myself). I feel like it could just as easily hurt the value of a home.
And i am in the same situation as you without one. people walking my neighborhood too. house value has doubled since i purchased.

like I said, your property taxes should be covering that stuff.

All jokes aside, her grass wasn't that bad. And they usually send MULTIPLE reminders to get your shyt handled. When you move in a neighborhood with an HOA, make sure you read the bylaws. Some of it is bullshyt, but you made the choice to live there.

Our shyt is only 900 a year, but we have A LOT of greenspace and common area. Also a big ass clubhouse, pool area, tennis courts. I ain't complaining for 900 a year to cover that shyt and make sure mufukkaz ain't parking on the lawn, got shytty unedged weedy grass, etc.

But her skipping court is why she got arrested, not her damn grass.

Our park isn't managed by our city, it's a private park for the residents. Property taxes go to services the city is responsible for. Like I said, no one, at all, has any say in how I manage my property. So I'm not a part of a typical HOA.

I'm paying 16 bucks a month for a buck for a park where no vagrants/bums are allowed to enter.

i'm in a condo community with a bunch of units, so the HOA makes sense. but neighborhoods with freestanding homes having HOAs has always been crazy to me. takes away the point of owning your own, solitary house

and you can't avoid that shyt either. like who decides that?
