And those black reporters will not say shyt about or to white players. Case in point, Stephen A. Smith does not have shyt to say about Johnny Manziel's domestic violence.

That is the thing. Some black reporters want these players to give interviews but the same black reporters will give passes to white players all day to protect their jobs. But dog out black players to get that pat on the head from a white boss.

That is what I basically got from c00nin A on First Take today. :mjlol:

Black people need to create our own media outlets. :francis:

The thing with ESPN First Take is that :comeon: and :skip:always have to be on opposite sides of a debate or of course there is no debate to be had.

In issues of race, they can never have :skip: playing badcop or he will be accussed of being racist and its not a good look for ESPN and makes for uncomfortable TV.

Therefore, whenever race is brought up :comeon: takes the badcop role and :skip:plays good cop.

Thats what I see from watching it over years.

:sas1: is playing a character at this point almost like Colbert or Ali G.
Some of the stuff he believes, some he doesn't. But they agree on what will be discussed before hand and what sides each will take before the show starts. They are often in front of a live audience and are attempting to entertain. He is an analyst not a journalist at the end of the day... at this point in his career.

"as a black man, I was embarrassed"

:mjlol:
For the life of me I can't understand why he said that. What does Dez's rant have to do with being black? He's just being Dez...an individual man with his own personality. I do disagree with the thread title though. Stephen doesn't HAVE to say things like this to get in his white bosses good graces. Its just who he is. He already has a contract and is gettin paid. This is just who he is. You think when he's retired and chillin he's not going to feel the same way? Same with Whitlock. It's just who he is.
