Auburn is probably not on this list but I checked their demographics for the last couple of incoming classes and their black population is significantly lower than it was when I got there in 2006. shyt is mind boggling. :why:
@Rigby. did you ever graduate?

All I know is the stats for black college enrollment in my state is a joke. Not just at the UC's but the Cal States.....

its like 3-5% :dahell:

I graduate next december

Auburn isn't held to their supposed quota of 30% of black. Someone told me its around 5% now, and that's substantially less than when I first came in 2017

price of the brick been hiking up YoY and the bullshyt construction + department/school fees don't make it any easier. Conversely, scholarships have stagnated

Above the fray.
what's the point of us being pushed out of the better schools to take on debt from those with less funding, reach, and job opportunities? that's already the issue with black attendance in some HBCU's. it will never be a ton of us at top tier schools, but we need to stop being relegated to institutions with poor ROI that do nothing but accelerate the black college debt + under/lesser employed issue

Well regardless of what happens on a state level or from a SC ruling, the community has something that didn't exist before any of these measures were put in place. Three generations of Black graduates from the better schools from wide segments of the Black population.

The resources of that group should be used to groom, develop, and prepare future generations of students to gain admission and to thrive in those environments. Specifically to supplement the education these kids receive with summer enrichment programs, academic camps, test prep classes,etc.

Most Black alumni groups do this to an extent, but these efforts have to be expanded.
This is really the only way to address the issue.Otherwise, our access to those spaces is controlled by other people.
