cool. I just think we need toughen up on them. I know black teens that live in nice neghborhoods but want to imitate the kids from the city.. yeah whites it started but at this point we took the ball and keep running with it.

The only way things will change is if we make them believe they have no excuses. I do it with my son all the time.

This is the thing that really gets to me about these "stand your ground" cases is:

The perpetrators are usually older white males that hide their insecurities with guns and have problems with black people or are just flat out racist. And therefore they project their insecurities on young black males. They don't allow themselves to handle a situation with any sort of rationale and are pretty much trigger happy. It's like a badge of honor for them to kill an unarmed black teenager. And then in the aftermath think of themselves as "victims" because "they felt threatened".

No you dumbasses...you let your prejudices and fears control you and aren't intelligent or composed enough to handle a situation without resorting to violence...and that's weak.

Gun culture in this country is absolutely sickening. We're led to believe that black people are so violent and criminal due to overinflated media sensationalism and skewed statistics...when it's mostly white people that are stacking up guns en masse to protect themselves from people that don't exist in relatively safe crime free suburban areas. They create these situations and escalate them simply because they're paranoid and looking for someone to take out their frustrations on.

Generally... If a White teen shot another White teen in a White neighborhood, the entire neighborhood is going to give their names to police right away. White neighborhoods have way less tolerance for violence like that. Even in broke White neighborhoods that "no snitchin" shyt exists, but it goes out the window when it comes to murder. Unfortunatly a lot of Black kids live in neighborhoods where if they wanna bust on someone, they know the neighborhood will turn a blind eye, so nothin' really stopping them. They might, and often do get away with it. White people would never let their youths terrorize them to that point.

It's not trivial why these kids are killing each other. It's drugs, gang violence etc. having no respect for human life, trying to be macho etc. I don't know why people are trivializing these issues and throwing it back to white people. Kids get in an argument/fight, and one retaliates and goes and murders the other one. Kid a owes kid b money, kid a tells kid b to go fukk himself, kid a gets shot and killed over it. Kid a talks shyt about kid b's gang, kid b comes and kills kid a later. Dudes are blatantly making excuses for bad behaviour and acting like a savage serial killer. None of these kids are thinking about white racism or how they are unemployed when they pump bullets into another ones head. It's all personal problems, gang issues and in general just savage behaviour.

Shut the fukk up! Nobody is suggesting these kids are thinking about white racism when they engage in that "savage" behavior. We are telling you what lies at the heart of their indifference to black life, the anger in their hearts and souls, and lack of identity and comprehension of the black experience in America. These kids don't even know what the transatlantic slave trade was or what Jim Crow was or what black peopl sacrificed to even have them be able to have many of the freedoms they now abuse.

And just to add to the discussion....the "endangered species" label is nothing new...people were saying that young black men were an "endangered species" during the late 80s and early 90s with all the killings and the crack epidemic.
