Why not? It's not an RPG, firing at the ceiling won't kill everyone.
Why can't it logically be a warning shot indoors?
Explain yourself!!!!!!!!!!
Various reasons. Ricochets, Unknown trajectory, and so on.
When you fire a warning shot indoors, what you're essentially saying is that you are trying to scare the person by going way beyond pointing a weapon at them. You're trying to show them your not scared to pull the trigger. I was always trained that warning shots are a big NO-NO. Marine Corps drills into our heads 4 safety rules and I use them to this day:
1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
3. Keep finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
4. Keep weapon on safe until you intend to fire.
And the 5th and 6th "unwritten" rules are:
5) Know your target and what lies beyond it
6) No warning shots.
Like I said, while I find that improper use of a weapon, I don't think it's that big of deal (that warrants prison time), but when you couple that with the fact that she went OUTSIDE to the vehicle and came back in with the weapon during a routine argument (that to my knowledge involved no imminent beating, could be wrong), then fearing for her life goes out the window. She became the aggressor at that point in my eyes.
Again, even taking that into account I find her sentence highly excessive.
Just my opinion.
