Take this as a chance to teach the black children that oppression still exists. That your enemy may not only be the one in the klan hood, but your gym teacher, your principal, etc.

The fact the woman had to tear down her hard work gave the white supremacists the W. She should have just taken the suspension and force those crackas to tear it down.

it depends...she may be teaching in a state that doesn’t have a union...on top of that she may not be tenured which gives you a little bit of leeway even in non-union states...also I was really young @ the time...no wife/kids to worry about...they were trying to break my resolve when they suspended me...and despite having the union on my side and not having an immediate family to worry about feeding the shyt was still stressful...so I can understand her doing what she did

No, you're absolutely right. The union was definitely instrumental in you achieving what you did. That shyt would never fly in the union less south.
