It sucks that she can get 9 years.

But she's not a good example to use for black women having to fend for themselves.

Especially since she is actually getting more attention and public support than the other American captives in Russia, many of whom are men.
Wasn't there a teacher who got like 14 years or something that had medical weed and we just heard about it when BG's case came up?

If that's the case, that tells you all you need to know.

The ignoring of the simple fact that she wouldn't be in this predicament if she had just not tried to bring weed INTO A COUNTRY WITH HARSH PENALTIES FOR IT never ceases to amaze me.
The team she plays for owned by a Russian oligarch. They probably gave her a pass before the US started siezing oligarch assets

I don't care about pointless conjecture. You have no proof of this, so all I can go by is the facts in evidence - she admitted to bringing a weed pen into a country known to have harsh penalties for such actions. And even if this unlikely scenario were true, they wouldn't have forced her to do it. LOL @ me taking such a needless risk given the circumstances if such an "agreement" went south.
